"Christmas at the Richfield Historical Park" is located in the Richfield Historical Park, 4399 Pleasant Hill Rd, Richfield WI, 53076. The Richfield Historical Society's Mill House and Lillicrapp Welcome Center will be open Noon to 3 pm.
The Mill House will be decorated in a traditional Christmas style. The Mill House decorations include a German Christmas tree where children can search for a pickle ornament (German custom). If they find it they can pick a prize. Sing-along carols will be played on the piano. Homemade cookies, hot cider and coffee and fresh bread, baked in a wood burning stove will be served.
A ‘General Store’ is featured at the Lillicrapp Welcome Center. Walk back in time and enjoy old-fashion store displays. One exhibit is an artificial Christmas tree decorated with “Shiny Brite” ornaments from the 1940’s and 50’s. Vintage children’s toys and candy displays add to the General Store Christmas theme. To enhance your visit, you can view historic photography and maps from Richfield and the surrounding area. Refreshments will also be served.
Wagon rides through the park, weather permitting. No admission fee, but donations are appreciated to continue restoration of the Messer Mayer Mill.
